Is this the first time you have adopted a dog or are you anxiously anticipating the addition to your family in the future? This one-session course will help prepare you to make it a positive experience as you introduce your new family member. A Pet Methods dog behavioralist will give you advice on how to setup your house to create the best possible environment for your new dog. We will discuss (with examples) dog mental enrichment activities that can help keep your dog remain stimulated while you are away, avoiding separation anxiety, and activities that will help generate a new bond between your dog and its new family members (two and four legged). Other speciality topics can also be discussed such as potty training, chewing, outdoor spaces, and barking. Establishing harmony in your home early on will result in a rewarding lifetime of enjoyment and relaxation within your newly expanded family.
